A good rule of thumb
Estimate how many people will attend, then add around 10 to 20 percent. Families often keep copies for relatives who couldn’t attend, and some guests like to take an extra one home.
If you’re unsure, the funeral director or venue can often tell you how many people it seats.
Couples and households
Some families print one per household rather than one per person. That works well for smaller services, but for larger gatherings one each helps everyone follow the service.
